Stronger & Weaker

As many of you know, I was a full time certified personal trainer for just under 12 years and I loved every minute of it. I was fortunate enough to train, coach, and advise hundreds of people. I don’t think I could ever put into words how amazing it feels to help someone become and stay fit as well as healthy. Promoting a healthy and fit lifestyle is something that will always be near and dear to my heart. Getting to photograph people living the lifestyle is pretty indescribable as well.

Over the years most of my clients were women who wanted to lose weight. Most had never worked out before and most had no idea what or when to eat. Nutrition is almost 80% of the battle to successful long term fat loss, however, building and maintaining muscle is also paramount.

I often heard something like, “I don’t want big arms. I don’t want to look like a man. I can’t lift that, it’s too heavy.” Convincing women even to this day to not only lift weight, but to lift heavy weight is still a challenge. We all need strong bones, minds, and muscle mass. There is no such thing as firming and toning, only stronger and weaker. I could go on and on, and on and on, but, instead I will share photos of a beautiful, strong, competitor, personal trainer, nurse and friend that I photographed at MetroFlex San Antonio recently.
